The company of my parents is actually global.

これは日本製の陶器を売っているお店。

ここには僕の親が経営している会社「東秀陶器」の製品が売っています。

うちの親の会社は実はグローバルです。

日本でもお馴染みの石鹸屋「ラッシュ」。

ここバンクーバーでも人気みたいです。

Today I went to havea job interview with other company.

On the way to home I visited Metrotown which is a kind of Mall.

In a word, it is like AEON.

In that Mall, I found a game center!

Most of games were Japanese product.

There were 'Dance Dance revolution', 'an old print clud', 'Mario Cart', 'King of Fighters 98' and so on.

It was strange sight.

今日は別の会社に面接へ。

帰りにメトロタウンという一種のモールに立ち寄ってみた。

一言でいうと、イオンです。

そのモールにてゲームセンターを発見！

ほとんどのゲームは日本製。

’ダンスダンスレボリューション’、’古めのプリクラ’、’マリオカート’、’キングオブファイターズ９８’などなど。

不思議な光景でした。

24th November, 2008 Direct Energy(2)

Today I went to Direct Energy again and took an on-line test to hire.

There were five candidates including me, Korean, Chinese, Saudi Arabia (maybe) .

The test was quite difficult.

At first we read information about the company and energy industry.

Then answered fifteen questions on multiple-choice .

We had to get eighty percent score to pass the test.

There are a lot of special words of energy, so I often was confused.

But at last I could pass it with the score of eighty percent just before the deadline!

On the point of leaving after finishing the test, a women looked like Saudi Arabia asked me.

'Excuse me, I don't know this question. Do you know the answer?'

I was really surprised and answer

'I can't answer.'

She said 'Why?'

W, why!?

I answered 'Because this is a test.'

'OK, you have finished. You can go ahead.'

Pardon me.

Then I listened to what I should do for next step.

The women staff said like this,

'Congratulations! Next you'll have the meeting with our manager.

He will call you to make appointment someday.

I don't know when he calls you.

All you have to do is just waiting it.

You can go home today, bye!'

Just it?

She was casual as ever.

Anyway I could go final step.

今日は再びダイレクトエナジーに赴き、就職のためのオンラインテストを受講。

僕も含めて５人、韓国人、中国人、サウジアラビア？人などの候補者が。

テストは結構難しかった。

まず会社とエネルギー業界の情報を読んで、それから１５問の選択性の質問に回答。

合格には８０％の解答率が必要。

エネルギーに関する特別な用語がたくさんあってたびたび困惑。

ただ最終的には８０％ギリギリのスコアで何とか合格！

テストを終えて立ち去ろうとした時、サウジアラビア？の女性が声を掛けてきた。

「ねえ、この問題わかんないの。あなた分かる？」

まじで驚いた。

「答えらんないよ。」

「なんで？」

な、なんで！？

「だってこれテストだよ。」

「そう、わかったわ。あなたは終わったもんね。行っていいよ。」

勘弁してください。

それから次のステップについて話を聞いたが、女性スタッフからはこう言われただけ。

「おめでとう！次に私達のマネージャーと会ってもらうわ。

そのうち彼からアポの電話かかってくるから。

いつするかは知らないけど。

それまで待っててね！

今日は帰っていいわよ、じゃ！」

そんだけ？

相変わらず軽かった。

とにかく、最終ステップまで進出できました。

18th November, 2008 Winter Olympic in 2010

The next Winter Olympic will be held in Whisler which is located near Vancouver.

This is the symbol of the Olympics.

I have heard the business conditions in British Columbia, especially Vancouver, had been better rapidly for it.

The number of people who can get working-holiday visa in Japan became 10,000 from 5,000 last year.

It isn't rare yet.

By the end of Olympic, this good situation will continue at least.

次の冬季オリンピックは、バンクーバーの近くに位置するウイスラーという街で開催される。

これはそのオリンピックのシンボル。

オリンピックのおかげでブリティッシュコロンビア州、特にバンクーバーの景気は急激に良くなっているとのこと。

日本のワーキングホリデイビザの取得可能者数は昨年の5,000人から10,000人になった。

レアじゃなくなっちゃったな。

少なくともオリンピックの終わりまでは好景気が続くそう。

This is English Bay, which is one of famous sightseeing place in Vancouver.

It is just dirty sea with nothing special.

ここはイングリッシュベイ、バンクーバーでは有名な観光地の一つ。

とくにこれといったものはない汚い海です。
